It's getting closer....

Time is getting closer for him to be on his way for hajj...
Time is getting closer for him to land on the sacred land...
Time is getting closer for him to feel closer with Him...
And from the bottom of my heart, I hope and pray for everything to go smoothly... just as how it has been smooth till now.... InsyaAllah...

The next 1 and half month of working days will be different though...
The newspaper (and horoscope) reading session...
The lunch, of course... especially since most of the time it is him driving...
The verbal fighting... with Mr L since both of them want to win...
The blog update... will he a able to update??
Hmm.... will be quiet and still working days ahead....

The time to rest thinking of other matters except the filling of hajj....

Selamat pergi dan selamat kembali dengan haji yang mabrur, InsyaAllah....

Dah lama tak gaduh....

It was my x-boss farewell last Tuesday... We had a farewell lunch somewhere near...
Colleagues from flex actually came in a bus... more than 40 people there...
wow!.. my x-boss glamer betul la...!!! it was his turn now.... to a new place...

meeting all of them reminded me back to the time in solectron (and later flex)...
many new faces now... and the old ones who knows me.. some quite surprise to see me there...

some said... i have a happy face now...
" u punya muka nampak happy... sudah lama tak dak gaduh kan!!.. mesti you sudah lupa macam mana mau gaduh...."

when in solectron we can argue, especially in GYAT... when CCS bising-bising....
but then later, we can sit together for lunch.... laughing...

now... here.... i wonder...!!!
so much of talking... so much of telling this person is wrong, that person is not right...
and definitely.... to sit together later for meal and laugh???...BIG QUESTION MARK...

different people... different environment... different ways...
hmm...

Saturday Nite BBQ...

Last Friday evening, ex-colleague from my old department in Bosch called up... They were planning for a BBQ get-together on the saturday nite... and ask me to join... for free... hihihi...
Makan free, takkan tak nak pi kan!!!...

So, there we were on the seagate beach... opposite Intel to be exact... they brought everything... satay, marinated chicken, fried bihun, fruits etc... and me, just myself... pergi makan jer...

Nice to be on the beach at nite... luckily it didn't rain...
Catching up with the latest gossips... who's going where, who's resigning, who just joined...
And so, I reached home at 1am...

Thanks for counting me in... and don't forget me for next outing ya...!!!

Eat Pray Love... Book vs Movie

I just love Julia Roberts... Her smile and the sounds of her laughter....

I first read the book... and now the movie... Still unable to decide which one I prefer...
But then, I'd just love the movie for having Julia Roberts.... Liz Gilbert character is nicely blended with Julia....

Eat Pray Love The Movie.....
For those who have read the book, surely the movie is not the exact version... Of course Italy, India and Bali are all there... Some 'modifications' added.... but I feel like some emotional bonding was lacking...
What I like in Italy... was the food... and the Italian-style hand gestures... quite funny there...
And you will just feel like having lots and lots of pasta... spaghetti, fettucine, linguini... carbonara, marinara... and the big thin pizza...
What I like in India... seeing Julia in the green saree with a small 'sanggul'.... very decent look...
In Bali.... you'll like everything in Bali... starting with Ketut, the funny old, Balinese medicine man... then Christine Hakim as Wayan... what lacking here, I feel was the emotional bonding between Liz and Wayan... in the book, you can feel the bonding... but in the movie, it simply show Liz collecting money for Wayan but why and what made her do that???? ....

Afraid to fall in love again... as she doesn't want to loose the balance she newly found...
And the wise guy.... of course Mr Ketut Liyer....

Tired....

Arrggggghhhhh.... Wanted so much to shout out loud... Tired of trying to go here and there, do this and that as the obligations required to.... Why can't I just do what I want, how I want????... But again..... (sigh)...

After being bored to be lectured and lectured, I knew I needed to be out... Went to town, to the place where I normally rent the books and novels only to find that the shop was closed.... I just need a light-type of reading material... and that should be novels (from my section of course....) to loosen up a bit... How frustrating to see the shop closed again...

So, I went to the Chowrasta... second-hand bookshops... used to go there a lot... stopped going there since I found 'Novel House' to rent books like 4 years ago....
And the uncle (a mamak of course) upon seeing me there, said... "lama tak datang?"...
I smiled, thinking in my mind "does he really still remember me??"...
Then he started to take out all the books of my section... mcnaught, quinn, devaraux, nicholas sparks etc... and I smiled... telling myself... 'yes. he remembers me well..."
And he looks the same just how I remembered him.... like the aging stop with him.... good for him... and his photographic mind... that's how they keep the business going afterall....

And tonite.... I hope to start reading the novel I got this evening....
Still have 3 other books... not the light-type reading material...
For now, I just need...
to read without repeating the sentences....
to read and knowing that it will be happily ever after ending....
to read without deep thinking....
