I miss... driving to the classes on Saturday mornings....
I miss... last minute assignments we used to prepare during the classes...
I miss... listening to my group-mates 'kelentong-ing' for our group presentations....
I miss... the lunches we shared during the class break... gossip time... hihihi...
I miss... observing the classmates busily 'facebook-ing' in the class...
and of course..... I miss the strong, concrete excuse for not attending the wedding receptions on saturdays.... no more excuses now.... hmmm......
and to the classmates who are busily preparing for PHD Industry Program...
all the best.... Dr (s).......

Malay ---> English ---> Malay
A friend... after reading the 'Talent Management" article in the STAR newspaper last wed... which I didn't have a chance to read yet... (hopefully still available in his office).... propped a question to me on the recent decision to switch back the science and maths teaching in school from english to malay....
The long-term aim or target of teaching science and maths in english is definitely beneficial.... to the students and to the country.... After all, this idea was first thought by my idol, Tun M.... Off course I'm on his side... Hmm....
Having the opportunity to know some primary school kids made me think on the progress and the achievement of the program so far.... The kids can be categorized from rural area... Although I'm sure in other states, rural is much much rural as compared to Penang's rural area...
Their english.... hmm.... it is already set in their mind that English is difficult....
I gave them 'Insya Allah' lyrics during last nite class.... And we sang in the class.... Pitching lari jauh betul...!!! But it was fun....
When I asked what is the song about?.... I can only hear one boy answering.... "Insaf, cikgu..."
Luckily, at least one of them got it....
In another class, a boy scored zero in a maths quiz I gave them... in english off course..
Am preparing the malay version now.... just to see whether it was due to english...!!! Or really his maths...!!!
What more can I say.... matlamatnya bagus.... tapi pelaksanaan tak sampai....
Maybe with better method, there is no need to switch back to malay.....

Last Minute Plan.... again....
I was on the way back from work last Wednesday when a friend called for dinner... We met up but then the plan changed... Since Thursday is public holiday, let's go movie.... hihihi....
And on the way there, saw another friend's car on the road.... a quick phone call and ended up the three of us watching 'The Tourist..."
The movie.... so-so.... it went quite slow actually.... not much action... but lots of jolie and depp...
Jolie.... what a figure...!! Depp.... age goes well with him... better than the 21 jump street look...
Italy..... just fantastic...!!!
And afterward.... late dinner.... nasi lemak lagi...!!!!
Camna nak kurus ni...!!!!

Welcome to my year 4 - maths & english class...
Six new faces and names.... my small but quite a noisy class....
This evening was the second class with them.... the last class, everyone was quite quiet...
Tonite... wow..!!! I see a different class....
Alif Irfan.... enthusiast and excited to learn... I can see his eagerness to understand and learn...
Haikal... quite a quick learner... excited to answer although the question was meant for other classmate....
Shameill Danny... does not speak a lot... more of observant... but surely willing to participate in class...
Hafiz... the talkative one... the naughty one... and the cheeky one... eagerly waiting for his fried chicken brought by his father during the 5 minutes break....
Mukmin.... the one who is always somewhere else.... need to pay extra attention to him...
Farah.... whose mother share the same name as mine.... the only girl in the class but definitely not the most shy.....
I do hope I can somehow in some way help them out with their english and maths....
I gave them a simple quiz just now with a promise to reward whoever score the highest...
And they asked for a laptop....!!!!
A friend ask me.... what type of teacher will I be???
A teacher whom the pupils would not be afraid of..... ;)
But I do hope I can encourage them to learn.....

It's a small world after all......
"It's a world of laughter , A world of tears
It's a world of hopes , And a world of fears
There's so much that we share, That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all
There is just one moon , And one golden sun
And a smile means, Friendship to ev'ryone
Though the mountains divide, And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world...."
So true.....
Before end of last year, a bank rep came to office for promotion purpose...
And to my surprise, he is my x-schoolmate....
Today, we got a new security officer in the office... when he was introduced to me this morning...
I thought that face look familiar.... And after a little asking.... We were in the same company back in 2003... I was in QA dept while he was in production.... And there I thought it was only me who moved to a different work area....
And then... there's a friend who tried to introduce you to his friend... only to find out that his friend is actually your best friend's brother... hahaha....

Financial Management....
I talked to a construction staff yesterday.... And the conversation somehow ended into financial managing method.... According to him, his boss practices making and keeping full record of his (and his companies) daily expenses without fail... The logic is off course in being able to monitor and knows well where your money goes.... And as the result, the boss owned a porsche, a bmw and an mpv (i forgot the exact brand).... Besides all other properties off course....
It made me thinking and wondering..... maybe yes, that's the correct way to keep you financially stable.... as conservative as I am....
I tried that once.... 5 years back...
I managed to maintain the record for less than a month... ;)
and I know that won't last long as I know myself very well...the lack of discipline.... Hahaha...
One question that came to my mind... do others label these people as stingy or calculative???
Anyway, only we know who we are.... thus, do what we like, what we want.... as long as it doesn't disturb others....

In RED at KRR
Everyone (mostly everyone....) was in RED at Kenny Rogers yesterday.... Just to have a quarter meal free with each paid...
And... to make it merrier, we chose that exact venue for the January birthday gathering... hihihi...
The day before yesterday, busily reminded and being reminded not to forget to wear (or bring) something in RED....
Despite the long queue.... waiting in the line for more than half an hour just to get our seats....
Finally... yup..!!! Meals for eight.... and paid for four.... Hahaha....
But then.... the surroundings was quite noisy... full house... and people keep on coming and queuing.. Had our dinner... had the cake cut... and everyone just left afterward... not much of conversation like how we normally have... Hmmm....
Lina, being there last evening reminded me of our dinner there... hahaha... :) talking to you two weeks back was so relieving.... Hope everything at work is okay now, InsyaAllah....
