Last friday after lunch with KD and Adik L, I spent few minutes at the bookstore... that has lately become a routine on friday's lunch break.... we'll have lunch, then both of them will rush for friday prayers and later fetch me back to the office.... while I would be in the bookstore or window shopping just by myself....
One book... a Malay novel caught my attention last Friday.... something from my section, of course... read few pages and I kind of like the writing style... and I paid, borrowed a stranger's privilege card for a 10% discount.. ;) Next, look for a place where I can read while waiting for the two guys... Ended at Starbucks with a 'tall' Mocha blended....
And the reading continued before bed.... and I finished it sat morning... :)
It is not often to find a book which is hard to put down..!!!! Feel like getting more of them...
And... I visited the 'mamak' at the chowrasta again on sunday... four more books awaiting...
All from my section though..!!! Hmmmm...... :)

Where will they be soon????
Everyone... errr... almost everyone, is currently busy.... attending interviews, updating resumes, waiting for the calls and also.... orientationing on the new post at the new place....
Day 1:
Karthi (via sms): Your x-boss came for interview here.
Me (via sms): Hi Boss. How was the interview??? ;)
X-boss (via sms): Hai... soalan bocor ka???
Then, phone conversation with Karthi while driving back from work....
Followed by the phone conversation with my x-boss... anyway, he's already at a new place (yet old, familiar place...)
Day 2:
Karthi (vis sms): Lina is interviewing here.
Then, phone conversation with Lina while driving back from work....
Lina: Just out from an interview...
Me: Dah tahu....
Lina: Ni mesti Karthi yang bagi tau....
Hahaha.... Lina, all the best to you.... InsyaAllah, your time will come soon....
Kalau sempat merasa shutdown, leh la kita gi mana2 kan...!!!
And Karthi... all the best to you too.... InsyaAllah....
Wondering now whether Chong is also in the same cruise with the others....
And... it is like listening to chan....'you ni memang kepo la....' Hihihi.....

What happen when.......
If it was up to faiz-buah-hatiku.... the star-shape cube would have been thrown away....
The form fitter mold would end up the same way too.... only a little later......
Need there more to say?????
There are times.....
There are times when I ask myself whether it was the correct move to change my career path....
And today... is definitely one of that time.....
Allah's will made it smooth for me during the journey which landed me here (as of now)....
And thus, insyaAllah ada hikmahnya.... dan Allah tidak akan menguji umatNya dengan sesuatu yang tidak mampu dipikul, insyaAllah.....
Some things for thought, to ponder ... to me, myself and I.....
.... Being the 'mentimun', sedar diri la ya!!!....
.... Let others do whatever they want to us and maybe we should just do the otherwise....
.... If that is something that can make them happy, let them enjoy the happiness....
Afterall, I am a good girl.... Right, Mr Korben Dallas????? ;)

What a different.....
Witnessing an incident yesterday, I can't help from comparing it with what I observed at my previous workplace.... In my opinion, the incident resulted from being arrogant..... Maybe yes, some people was born with it.... some may have to develop it, just maybe to show the superiority.... some may want to portray that, maybe it was thought as necessary..... Hmm...
Can't help from the respect I feel for the MD of RB penang... my previous workplace... a Chinese guy, a Mr. Nice Guy, I think.... his humble way, his kindness to all level of employees....
When I first talked to him, I addressed him as Mr. Tan.... and he quickly told me.... No, not Mr. Tan, call me CK (for Chee Kiang), just like the rest call him.... and the formality gone...
In canteen, he queued up for the food and to pay at the cashier just like the rest of us..... though not sure whether he got special discount or not ... ;)
There was one time when I realized that he was queuing up behind me.... and being polite (as I always am... hihihi....)I told him to go first.... and his reply... no, no... you came first, i'll wait for my turn....
And yes.... I cried in front of him on my last day there... especially when he asked how much can they offer to make me stay....!!!! That was comforting when my own department head didn't even bother.....
Yeap.... that's the number one person in Rb penang.....
And now.... feel sad for what I observed... and still observing... Will that be the way always???
To the friends out there.... please....
Tolong ingatkan aku..... andai satu hari kelak aku terlupa diri....
Thank you....

Let him see the world.... despite only Indonesia....
My aunt called this morning..... asking for my opinion....
His son... who is my cousin... who is also my father's nephew... was chosen by his school teacher / headmaster to join the 'pertukaran pelajar' program... and being chosen, he will be going to surabaya, indonesia for maybe around two weeks.... with some other friends.... I guess it will be a short and simple program since the boys are only thirteen years old...!!!
Coming from a big family.... many aunts, many uncles, many cousins (my late grandparents altogether have around 40 grandchildren).... this definitely be one of the topic for discussion... as a result, the pros and cons were all discussed.... some said let him go, some said otherwise for their very own reason...
I told my aunt, if the boy wants to go then let him go... let him see some other part of the world, despite only indonesia.... InsyaAllah all will be well.... As parents, doa for the best for him... And meet his teacher to understand the whole program....
Congrats and all the best Danial....

This old....!!!!
while driving to work this morning, as usual listening to the radio... listening to the voices plus the jokes of the three deejays and the songs they chose to play.... and then they happily announced their studio's guest.... guess who???.... while the US has jonas and hanson, we have our own trio brothers... kru....
and of course, the session was full of their songs... not so sure how many of their songs were actually played, since I reached office after the second song.. listening to their music took me back to the time while I was studying... and being a fan... not a 'fanatik' one, I think...!!!
I used to have their posters on my study table, with their lyrics too of course.... and I was once advised by a 'tudung labuh senior' who came to our room to invite us to join the weekly 'usrah session' at the hostel musolla.... and yes, that became a sub-topic mentioned in the usrah... no real name mentioned though...!!! the main point here is... i joined the usrah okay..!!!! hihihi....
and this morning while listening to the songs and shouting out loud with the lyrics alone in the car, I started to count how many years back was that....
and yes.... that was fifteen years back...... am I already this old...????
the truth hurts....

What would you do....
What would you do.... when you see your idol on the cover page of a magazine you found on the shelf while you were wandering about the restaurant waiting for your meal...???
Tun M.... it would have been hard for me not to remove the magazine from the shelf to be brought back with me to the table... and while sipping my drink (it was ice-blended mocha that day), the eyes and mind busily digesting the interview the author had with Tun... lucky him....
who would still be going to office at 9 in the morning despite being 80 years plus..???
who would still be interested to read and read more and more books at that age..???
who would still be busy traveling here and there, giving his speeches at this age...???
and who will have his biography coming out next year???
reading the answers to the questions thrown to him will surely make you think...
when ask why he chose east when the rest favored west... his answer... people of east (korean and chinese) were busily struggling to build up their nations after the war, while in the west people were busy demonstrating.... which to him is a waste of time.... no wonder he ban the industry from having a union..!!! and more from the interview.... kl lifestyle, january 2011... author - gary thanasan, the one used to be the host of 'BINGO'....
and in another article from another magazine i read at the same place.... the author mentioned of how he only knew one prime minister from schooling till graduated... i guess he should come from my era.... and according to him, current generation are more lucky as they've known more PMs.... really??? i doubt that...!!! would you like having to memorize many PMs names for your History subject????... not me....!!!!

What a day....
After six days of not working... workday is here again.... monday blue...
Have a list of things to do today... called two persons whom i badly need some updates... just to be told that one is on leave and the other would be late to office....
And yes... the list includes another audit... why must audit be everywhere????
I thought I left all the audits when I left QA department.... how wrong I am...
Reminded me of all the acting in front of customer at solectron... of course, the script was prepared much much earlier... and with good acting and actors... hahaha.... not bad there...!!!
In RB, no script required.... customer can just be on the floor for 10 minutes and surely can see all the flaws.... when there was so much and so clear why must we try to show otherwise...??? so, just let it be... and struggle later to respond to the audit findings.... my task, too hard to complete...

Bunny Year....
I got my first ang pau yesterday.... thank u hwa hwa.... for giving us a reason to meet and gossiping.... and for the pizzas....
It was nice meeting the three of them... hwa hwa, kak aida and ka cua.... and so much of hokkien in an afternoon.... for even kak aida was very fluent with hokkien.... leaving me to be the only one asking for translation... so much laughing that we didn't realize we have been talking for 3 hours straight...
It has been quite some time after our last gathering.... with ka cua now working in shah alam... glad to hear that he plan to come back to penang later.... busily looking for a house in penang to buy... hihihi...
Of course, the conversation was about all those we knew from RB... who has left the company.... who was offered vrr.... who will be going to portugal soon, for a business trip, definitely more than 2 week... who is favored and thus still pampered.... who not in favor to be confirmed.... and who just got married to the turki-muslim guy and will soon move to germany.... and more and more.... and the fun we used to have in the office...
The next gathering..... will have to wait until ka cua comes back again from shah alam....

An epiode of NCIS..
I got a chance to watch a full episode of NCIS (I forgotten from which season this one was...) this morning.... an interesting episode... of gibbs and his comrades solving their case... again....
What caught my attention was some words and phrases from this episode which are among those usually use by a friend of mine.... a blogger.... with vast vocabs and great writings...
Being a good samaritan..... conundrum.... and a phrase he recently used in his entry..... unsung hero.....
I wonder where he got his ideas with these phrases...... !!!

Nasi Beratuq....
I finally got the chance to taste and try the famous 'nasi beratuq'.... a famous nasi kandar stop for late suppers as it is only opened starting 10pm... and from its name... the long queue awaits you there.... though i'm sure the queue can easily be cleared by having more scooping-the-dish guys there instead of having only one... but then of course, to maintain the reputation we can only expect the otherwise....
We reached there around 12.15am on the chinese new year early morning.... me, my brother, sis-in-law and the little faiz... lined up for about half an hour.... while entertaining the-still-fresh-faiz...
And the food.... quite nice... i won't mind queuing up again for another trip... ;)

It's time...
It is time for another clean up..... of all the cobwebs, dust and the rust in the blog....
Items needed.... words, sentences to be put up together making new entries....
The constraints.... ideas... lots of them.....
