My father's workplace motto was 'Do It Right At The First Time'... I always joked with him, right only at the first time meh..?? You can do it wrongly after that??? Then he would explain with examples and comparisons as always.... just like a surgeon or a 'tok mudim', it is very crucial that first time is done correctly, for the consequences if otherwise is unrepairable.....
There he won again... happened most of the times though..!!!
However, it is sometimes not easy to be done.... Not because you don't want to, but because of the difficulties you face while trying to... Quite frustrating right!... I guess, that is something common especially at work.... People say learn from mistake... Just like Edison, succeeding only at his 100th attempt, but through the journey he learnt 99 ways not to get the bulb light up...!!
According to my lecturer, efficient is when things are done correctly... while effectiveness refers to doing the correct things.... Efficient or effective then????... Hmmm.....
