In industrial zone, we called it Kaizen or CIP... In government, the term is KIK...
Nevertheless, both are similar... moving onwards to improve...
I spent the full day today attending the KIK groups presentation, as observer... One thing I observed, some of the groups are only addressing the symptoms not the actual root-cause to the problems.. The same comment made by one of the judges..
Addressing the symptoms is like taking painkillers to ease the pain but not actually treating the real pain... But, sometimes in life... painkillers is the only available and affordable solutions, where the real solution is near to impossible or too risky... There might be some way and He knows best... Pray...
Still remember when we were forced for Kaizen in Slr... Before and after photos... Limited cost (sometimes no cost at all)... and then comes the Functional Excellence team, with all DIY tools, jigs... not to forget the 'wayang'... presentation package to Intel...

ReplyDeleteBefore and after photo comparison!?…Kaizen is Continuous Improvement…it's also means that today’s Before was yesterday’s After . Today's After will be tomorrow’s Before.
