We eagerly waited for faiz to come back for raya... Faiz landed on the wednesday before raya, but then.... he was not feeling well.... on and off fever and vomiting almost everything he ate... And later on the raya eve, buah hati sorang ni was admitted to the GH...My brother called to tell us faiz got to be admitted... I got worried... panic started... and on the raya eve while there still was plenty to do especially in the kitchen, my father and I drove to GH... I have to see him myself.... And that was him at the GH pediatric ward on raya eve... his fever was still high at this time... And he'd tell... "maklong, faiz masuk hospistal..." Feel so sad looking at him....
On the second day of raya, we managed to meet the specialist during their routine tour... According to her, faiz got viral fever... thank goodness it was not dengue.... it's normal for viral fever to show up and down body temp... and they decided to continue monitoring him, taking the normal fever syrup and only if the fever does not show any decreasing will they start with antibiotic... i don't have any idea for how long they wish to monitor... what i wanted at that time was for faiz to be well and go home and start his raya....
so, we decided to move faiz to private hospital on the same evening.... once admitted there the second thing the pediatrician did was giving him antibiotic (when in GH the specialist decided to wait).... the first thing he did was of course getting some blood for lab test... which he cried out loud during the process... maybe due to the trauma of similar process at GH... the mark on his hand obviously showed it....
he got better after that, Alhamdulillah... and was disharged on the fifth day of raya... only few days left to be with him before he'd be back to kl.... hmm....
but then... despite being in the hospital, faiz still got his duit raya...!!! at one time when giving the green packet by a relative, he asked "dalam ni ada duit ker?.."
and he learnt new phrase this time.... "OMG" (not Oh Memang Gempak ya..!!!)
